Welcome to the Tamworth NAIDOC Debutante Ball 

A night of celebration, culture and tradition! Join us on Sat Jul 08 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre, in Tamworth NSW, 2340. This event is a special occasion where our young local Indigenous men and women are presented to the community as they make their debut into adulthood.

The theme for NAIDOC 2023 is "For Our Elders". Across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families. They are cultural knowledge holders, trailblazers, nurturers, advocates, teachers, survivors, leaders, hard workers and our loved ones. Our loved ones who pick us up in our low moments and celebrate us in our high ones. Who cook us a feed to comfort us and pull us into line, when we need them too. They guide our generations and pave the way for us to take the paths we can take today.

Our Debutantes and their partners will be accompanied by their family and friends. The night will be filled with live music, dancing and delicious food, as we come together to acknowledge and celebrate the rich culture and history of our First Nations people.

As we gather together to celebrate this special occasion, we also take the time to pay our respects to the land and the traditional owners of the area. We invite everyone to come and join us for a night of joy, laughter and cultural significance at the Tamworth NAIDOC Debutante Ball!
