Orchestral Country will be a special once-off night of Australia’s best loved country artists and their songs performed with a 30 piece Orchestra led by conductor, George Ellis and hosted by Sam McClymont.
Artists for this special concert include Travis Collins, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole, Fanny Lumsden, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, Amber Lawrence, Luke O’Shea, Lyn Bowtell, Catherine Britt, Darren Coggan, Tania Kernaghan & Jason Owens plus some other special guest performers.
Produced by Peter Ross, executive Producer of the Golden Guitar Awards, this show is set to be a highlight of the 2024 Festival with a big orchestral concert that will feature some of the great Australian country songs, many of them Golden Guitar winning songs, presented in a unique and special way. Songs like Luke O’Shea and Lyn Bowtell’s anthemic Sing Me A Story, Fanny Lumsden’s moving Fallow and Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley’s sensational Star of the Show will sound amazing with a string section and rich full orchestral sound.
Ross said, “The song line-up for the show is something very special, including a song to pay tribute to the late great Australian country pioneer, Joy McKean. This concert has been several years in the making and I’m so excited about it finally happening in 2024.”
