Mick Daley and Melissa Fraser

18 Jan 2026 - The Bluebird Room at Tamworth Community Event Centre

LIFETIME CONNECTIONS MADE THROUGH MUSIC

I think it was the mid 2000’s… (Does anyone remember?) Melissa Fraser and Mick Daley met at the Tamworth Tennis Club during a Re-Mains and Jackie Marshall gig. As many of you would have experienced, the more you frequent Tamworth, the more dots start to connect, and who would have known that some of those connections would last a lifetime.

In 2017, The Re-mains guitarist, Leigh Ivan, and Melissa Fraser made a record together called Stay on the Road, and that same road has led us all back to Tamworth for this once off collaboration with the most special of guests, the mortar ‘tween the bricks, Leigh Ivan.

Melissa Fraser is a Brisbane-based singer-songwriter, recognized for her captivating vocals and thoughtful songwriting. Her music, which beautifully blends contemporary country with 70’s and indie rock influences, has engaged audiences both Australia wide and abroad.

Melissa draws inspiration from her career as a sea farer, being blessed with a restless heart, and generally leading a life less ordinary!

A versatile musician, Melissa, has contributed her talents to a diverse range of acts including Tom Curtain, Graeme Connors, Jackie Marshall, We All Want To and Mick Medew. For this special performance in between oceanic adventures, Melissa will be joined by local legend, Leigh Ivan (the Re-mains) who produced her critically acclaimed album ‘Stay On The Road.’

Mick Daley, a cornerstone of the Tamworth music scene, is best known as the driving force behind the acclaimed country-rock outfit, The Re-Mains. His solo show offers a unique opportunity to experience his distinctive songwriting in an intimate setting, blending rock, folk, and country.

Daley is a seasoned road warrior. Since 2023, he has led a successful tour of Ireland, where he captivated audiences with folk versions of his songs and traditional Irish material, and also toured across Europe and regional Australia.

For his one-hour spotlight session in the Bluebird Room at TCMF 2026, Daley brings tales of passion-drenched touring life and rich Aussie music history, woven throughout a compelling repertoire.

Beyond his musical endeavours, Daley is also an accomplished author, having released the four-volume novel series D’Angel Moon.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of Australia’s most enduring musical and literary talents.
