Kingswood

4 x 2025 GOLDEN GUITAR AWARD NOMINEES

KINGSWOOD are an award winning four-piece good times country and good times rock'n'roll band from Melbourne Australia. They’ll be bringing their sound to the Tamworth Town Hall on Australia Day during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Kingswood’s evolution form rock to country has been both gradual and judicious. After releasing a twangy reimagining of their 2020 album Juveniles in the form of Reveries, the Melbourne quartet fully embraced al-country on 2023’s Home. Just eight months later, they’ve gone a step further with the sparse and story-driven bluegrass of The Tale of G,C, Townes, which has received four 2025 Golden Guitar Award Nominations including Traditional Country Album of the Year, Bluegrass Recording of the Year and Toyota Album of the Year.

“A lot of bands would like to say they’re the hardest working in Australia, but Kingswood have a stronger claim than most.”  TONE DEAF

The release of HOME saw KINGSWOOD re-enter the ARIA Charts, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Australian Vinyl and #1 on the ARIA Australian Country charts – the latter of which stayed atop for an impressive 8 weeks in a row. With their record-breaking ‘Hometowns Tour’ taking in 100+ shows right around the country, KINGSWOOD have been able to hit venues of all sizes, in locations in each corner of Australia, on their purpose-constructed tour bus ‘Peggy’. An experience that has redefined KINGSWOOD’s resolve as a touring unit, 2023 has been a transformative period for the group. Ten years and seven studio albums on, Kingswood remain one of Australia’s hardest working bands playing festivals nationally and playing with acts like ACDC, Aerosmith to touring the US and Europe.
