Jenny Mitchell is a 4 x Golden Guitar nominated songwriter who weaves folk and country influences around stories of family, nostalgia and connection to the land. After supporting Kasey Chambers on a 32-date Australian tour, Jenny released her career defining album ‘Forest House,’ opened for global superstars The Lumineers and created a tour that generated over 250 Safe Nights for women escaping domestic violence.

At her 2027 Capitol Theatre show, Jenny is joining forces with Newcastle’s free-range bluegrass band, Midnight Chicken. Audiences will soak up an opening set from the Chickens, before leaning into an intimate show from Jenny featuring unique collaboration moments - hatched on their sold out 2026 NZ tour.

Together, Jenny Mitchell and Midnight Chicken will deliver a night of storytelling, string-band magic, and a little bit of mischief.
