1 DAY BOOK MAKING WORKSHOP WITH JANET PARKER-SMITH

Saturday 6th April, 10:30am – 4pm

Participants can discover the art of bookmaking and the artist book and learn skills in how to make handmade books/journals. They will also work on a self-directed artwork using an existing book –applying the deconstructed and altered book process.

During the workshop, participants will acquire skills in book-binding. Then, through the process of experimentation, explore ideas though the deconstruction of an existing book to create a finished work of art.

Thanks to the support of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, in association with the As Far As the Eye Can See Exhibition, Tamworth Regional Gallery will host artist Janet Parker-Smith, for this workshop.
