Celebrate our Seniors at the 2019 Seniors Week Awards
The Seniors Week Awards recognise the invaluable contribution of Senior Citizens and groups in the Tamworth Regional Council Area who have assisted older people through active participation on community committees, advocacy on behalf of older people and major contribution to community life over many years.
Please join us to celebrate the wonderful contribution our Senior Citizens make in our community by attending these Seniors Week activities and Award Ceremonies:
Nundle:
A morning tea and award presentation will be held at Nundle Public School on Monday , 18 February, 2019 commencing at 10.30am. The Awards will be presented by Mayor Cr Col Murray.
Manilla:
A concert, morning tea and award presentation will be held at the Manilla Small Town Hall, Tuesday 19 February commencing at 10am. The Awards will be presented by Deputy Mayor Cr Phil Betts.
Barraba:
A morning tea and award ceremony will be held at the Barraba Day Centre - Richardson House, Wednesday 20 February at 10am. The Awards will be presented by the Mayor Cr Col Murray.
Tamworth:
The Award Ceremony in the Tamworth Community Centre, Friday 22 February commencing at 10am will be followed by a concert and morning tea. The Awards will be presented by the Mayor Cr Col Murray.
All nominees receive a Certificate of Appreciation and the winner is announced on the day at the respective presentation.
Nominees must be aged 60 or over and must be done in a voluntary capacity.
