Capitol Theatre Tamworth, Tamworth Regional Entertainment Conference Centre (TRECC) and Tamworth Town Hall are all NSW Health regisitered COVID Safe Venues.
some scheduled Capitol Theatre shows will move to TRECC
We are please to announce that some events scheduled at the Capitol Theatre for November will now be presented at Tamworth Regional Entertainment Conference Centre (TRECC) in the Intimate Theatre mode.
We will be making further announcements on other shows closer to the performance dates.
By moving Capitol Theatre shows to TRECC we are able to still maintain capacity but also deliver the social distancing requirements that are in place. TRECC has the capability to still offer an intimate experience for audiences but has the added ability to provide much better foyer and amenities flow so that people can maintain the 1.5m as they move into and out of the building.
The health and safety of our audiences, staff and performing artists is our focus and as a registered COVID Safe venue, we have a COVIDSafe Plan and comprehensive operational plan in place to keep you safe.
The NSW Government highly recommends wearing a face mask and we more than happy for customers to wear a mask when they attend the theatre if it makes them feel more comfortable. It is not currently mandatory.

Tickets and Ticket Holders
All tickets currently issued will be valid and the rows and seat numbers will remain the same as the Capitol Theatre allocation. Your seats will be socially distanced either side by two chairs.
Our Box Office will be emailing out new e-tickets to customers so that the scanning process on the day can run much more smoothly. If you don’t have an email address then you can pop into the Capitol Box Office to secure your new tickets or you can present your old ones on the night. Ideally though, having the new tickets with the QR code on them will make your experience on the night much smoother.
Tickets are available on our website or by contacting the Box Office on 02 6767 5200. Where possible we encourage you to use electronic tickets, however if you are unable to do this, make every effort to collect your tickets from the Box Office prior to the day of the performance to reduce the need for queuing on event day.
What Shows Are Moving
The following show will now be presented at TRECC in November:
Len Waters Cultural Spectacular - Saturday 7 November 2020 at 8:00pm
On The Day of the Performance
The Box Office and the Doors to TRECC will open 1 hr prior to the event to enable patrons to grab a refreshment and then head straight to their seats, thus reducing crowding in the foyer.
Customers are advised that when you arrive at TRECC you can assist the entry process by having your tickets ready for checking or scanning. Please locate them in your phone or wallet prior to getting to the doors and make sure your brightness is turned up on your phones also.
Snacks and Bar Still Available
The TRECC Snack Bar and Bar services will still be available but customers must make their purchase and move to their designated seat for consumption while seated.
