Few artists have contributed more to the story of the Tamworth Country Music Festival than Colin Buchanan.

Across more than three decades, Colin's songs, performances and storytelling have become part of the fabric of Australia's biggest country music gathering. Whether singing bush ballads, sharing tales from the road or introducing audiences to unforgettable characters and places, Colin has helped shape the festival memories of generations of country music fans.

A ten-time Golden Guitar winner, Colin's honours include the CMAA Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting, ARIA and APRA Awards, and induction onto the Australian Country Music Roll of Renown. His songs have been recorded by many of Australia's leading country artists, while his own recordings have earned a loyal following for their warmth, humour, honesty and distinctly Australian voice.

Recent years have brought a fresh wave of success, with the acclaimed album Memory Town producing top-five hits including The Bush Comes Back and What I Love About Country. The album also delivered Colin's tenth Golden Guitar, with Laura and Gisele winning Bush Ballad of the Year.
