20 Jan 2027 - The Listening Room at Tamworth Community Event Centre
Presented by Entertainment Venues
Buddy is a nationally toured Bluesman, known for his sizzling guitar skills playing his signature Gibson.
His lifetime of touring brings a wealth of stories for the listening audience, from his early days touring regional and remote Australia to the bright lights of Australian festival stages. His songwriting tells of family, hard times, resilience and of Culture.
Buddy has an enviable guitar history playing for Aboriginal pioneers, including his Father Roger Knox, Uncle Jimmy Little, Col Hardy, Auriel Andrew, Bobby McLeod and the Rock Band Warumpi.
“I was a dreamer. I dreamed of being Chuck Berry and of being an Artist in front of my own band”
His story is unique with a family legacy, and one that describes triumphs and testing situations whilst navigating the music scene into the 1980’s. For the past twenty years he has smoked the boots of audiences from Bluesfest to Bridgetown, Woodford to World Music Days, and loving every Blues bend he has found on the Gibson’s frets.
As Buddy says himself “I was a dreamer. I dreamed of being Chuck Berry and of being an Artist in front of my own band” Buddy’s big aspiration was to be a Blues artist, and he has excelled in that dream. Winning the Sydney Blues Society Artist of the year twice endorses his bona fide devotion to the genre. Buddy’s Blues in the Listening Room concert promises an intimate experience of music, stories and with his usual devoted Band members, it will be a great pleasure for Buddy to share his style with audiences in this inclusive setting.
