Zana Dare - Artists In The South Seas
Unrecognised during his lifetime, Paul Gauauin developed his unique style in French Polynesia. Henri Matisse’s Tahitian sojourn provided the source for his Oceania series. Many early explorer’s ships such as the Endeavour carried artists who gave the world unique scenes of their contact with indigenous peoples.
ArtsNational (formerly ADFAS) Societies present a series of quality lectures by leading UK and Australian experts. Each lecture is followed by light refreshments and a convivial social forum.
Events will take place at the Heritage Room, Tamworth Community Event Centre, 3 Darling Street, Tamworth, unless otherwise indicated. Meet at 5:45pm for 6:00pm start.
