Ian Swankie - St Paul's Cathedral - Sir Christopher Wren's Glorious Masterpiece

The only cathedral in the world to have been completed within the lifetime of its designer, over 300 years ago, St Paul’s retains a timeless beauty, standing proudly atop Ludgate Hill in the City of London. 

Hear about the history, art and architecture – travel along the exterior, then down the spectacular nave, inside the chapels, around the monuments, under the mosaics, up to the Whispering Gallery, the triforium and library, and finish downstairs in the crypt where Nelson, Wellington, Wren and other famous people are laid to rest.

Events will take place at the Heritage Room, Tamworth Community Event Centre, 3 Darling Street, Tamworth, unless otherwise indicated.  Meet at 5:45pm for 6:00pm start.

ArtsNational (formerly ADFAS) Societies present a series of quality lectures by leading UK and Australian experts.  Each lecture is followed by light refreshments and a convivial social forum.
