TWO FULL DAYS OF RODEO COMPETITION

The country’s best rodeo athletes will flock to Tamworth to compete in two full days of rodeo competition titled the Rodeo Round Up. The feature night performance will showcase the best of the best competitor’s battle it out in their chosen events for the covenant title of champion! On offer is a massive prize pool of over $140,000 over the two days.

The event will feature a full program of rodeo, including junior, novice and open events.

TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK

Feature Rodeo Competition - fRIDAY 21 January 2022

Our famous Tough Enough To Wear Pink Rodeo will take place on Friday January 21 and will reach its 10 year milestone. Tough Enough To Wear Pink Rodeo has been the result of a partnership between the ABCRA and the Cancer Council, with both organisations coming together to support country women going through cancer.  Since Tough Enough to Wear Pink Rodeo event began in 2011, it has raised over $75,000 for Cancer Council NSW.

 

First performance competition will commence at 8:00am in the outdoor Timed Event Arena and Barrel Racing Arena. Competition will include Open and Junior Barrel Races, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Breakaway Roping and more! First performance is anticipated to conclude at 2pm.

 

Main performance competition will commence at 6:30pm with feature Open, Novice and Junior rough stock events including Open Bull Ride, Open Saddle Bronc and Mini Bull Rides, as well as the fast paced Ladies Barrel Race Shoot Out featuring the top 10 qualifies from the first performance.

 

GOOD ENOUGH TO WEAR GREEN 

Feature Rodeo Competition - Saturday 22 January 2022

Saturday is the Good Enough to Wear Green Rodeo in memory of ABCRA member Bruce Green.  The Rodeo Round Up will be supporting the Where There’s A Will Foundation and Care Flight on Saturday.

 

First performance competition will commence at 8:00am in the outdoor Timed Event Arena and Barrel Racing Arena. Competition will include Open and Junior Barrel Races, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Breakaway Roping and more! First performance is anticipated to conclude at 2pm.
