The Songs & Tales of Angry Old Men

21 Nov - Capitol Theatre

Presented by Capitol Theatre Tamworth

A TRUE CELEBRATION OF ROCK-N-ROLL THROUGH THE DECADES

From the producer of Pearl, The Janis Joplin Story (the only Australian production to have the approval of the Joplin Estate USA) comes another production delving into the lives and music of iconic singer songwriters who shaped the world and the music. Keeble has had first hand knowledge of some of her subjects, having toured with a few in the 70’s. She certainly has her own stories to tell, but says with a wink.. ‘I’m not one to kiss and tell..well not all the time”!

Chris Keeble along with Musical Director Jeremy Edwards have created a full bodied 2 hour show that delivers not only a catalogue of great songs, but interesting stories and tales to help set the scene. All backed by amazing visuals that will certainly leave you with all senses filled the brim.

“This is truly a great celebration of rock-n-roll and the songs that defined great moments throughout the decades. Our audience loved the production and we have had continuous feedback to book another date!” Robert Love | Parramatta Riverside Theatre

The Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men features more than 20 great songs interwoven with tales that reveal surprising and unknown stories behind the music. Audiences can expect music from legendary artists including Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp and many more.

The Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men will be led by Jeremy Edwards with Matt Ross – (vocals and guitar), Wayne Kellett (bass and vocals), Di Solomon (keys and vocals) and George Brugmans (drums).

A live biopic on stage about rock music icons - a Rockumentary - incorporating story, song and imagery.
